Our Mission

We are a running apparel company founded and owned exclusively by long-distance runners. We strive to manufacture the highest quality, most functional apparel for the running community. We commit to:

• Use advanced moisture-wicking fabric technologies
• Provide value-added features such as UPF protection, odor-control and reflection in our products
• Manufacture 100% of our products in the USA

We’ve developed innovative polymesh fabrics such as the ultra-lightweight ReadyTech Aries (110 grams per yard) with our trusted performance mill partners. We’re constantly seeking the very best in US-manufactured trim items such as elastics, Velcro and reflective labeling solutions. RaceReady stands for excellence in running apparel.

Our History

RaceReady was founded in Los Angeles in 1993 by Gerry Hans and Mary Button, accomplished runners who have run well over 20 marathons each. Mary raced in the Women’s Marathon Olympic Time Trials in 1996 and 2000 and has a 19 race record of sub three hour marathons. They led the company for 18 years and leave behind a strong legacy of innovation and product excellence.

In late 2010, RaceReady was acquired by an investor group led by Tim Vadney. Tim has been running since competing in high school cross-country and track in Memphis, TN over 20 years ago. Tim worked previously for Deloitte Consulting and Kibel Green and has experience working with sportswear and sporting equipment companies such as Nike and Callaway Golf in Asia, Europe and the US.
