Our Mission
RaceReady enables peak running and outdoor performance by providing innovative, ultra-lightweight comfort enhancing apparel. We’ve been making endurance running and outdoor sports easy since 1993 with our patented and patent pending apparel.
We were founded by long-distance runners and outdoor enthusiasts and we are committed to producing a high-quality, low carbon footprint apparel line-up. How do we do it? We manufacture all of our items in the US from US manufactured fabrics and trim. Our staff runners and sponsored athletes personally wear test new products before they are launched. We incorporate your feedback into to our product design process.
We strive to manufacture the highest quality, most functional apparel for the running and outdoor communities. We commit to:

We’ve developed innovative polymesh fabrics such as the ultra-lightweight ReadyTech Aries (110 grams per yard) and the unique dual-faced MotionPoly with our trusted performance mill partners. We’re constantly seeking the very best in US-manufactured trim items such as elastics, Velcro and reflective labeling solutions. RaceReady stands for excellence in running and outdoor apparel.
Our History
RaceReady was founded in Los Angeles in 1993 by Gerry Hans and Mary Button, accomplished runners who have run well over 20 marathons each. Mary qualified for the Olympic Time Trials in the Women’s Marathon in 1996 and 2000. She participated in the 2000 Trials and has a 20 race record of sub three hour marathons. They led the company for 18 years and leave behind a strong legacy of innovation and product excellence.
In late 2010, RaceReady was acquired by an investor group led by Tim Vadney. Tim has been running since competing in high school cross-country and track in Memphis, TN over 20 years ago. Tim worked previously for Deloitte Consulting and Kibel Green and has experience working with sportswear and sporting equipment companies such as Nike and Callaway Golf in Asia, Europe and the US.
RaceReady’s designs and utilities are proprietary and are patented or patent pending (US Patents #5581815, 5724679, and 5870777). RaceReady, ReadyTech and the RaceReady “R” are registered international trademarks. All RaceReady products are 100% Made in the US from US manufactured materials.
